Background

Rhema Women's Space

Human life, at its most rudimentary level, is comprised of male and female beings, just like it is with all other living animal species. This set of human beings were designed perfectly in God’s image and are equal in worth and value. While males and females do have many similarities for the purpose of stewarding the universe for God’s glory, they also have many differences for complementarity benefits.

Women have unique feminine physical, physiological, emotional, and mental features that enable them to think and act differently from their male counterparts. These unique features result in the concept of the ‘Wonder of Womanhood’ that need to be explored, upheld, celebrated, and maximized for their own fulfilment and leveraging for the greater good. Women are at the core of human life as a whole and they carry and nurture human life from conception to adulthood. This nurturing design comes with undeniable influence that add value to life.

Often times, women do not fully understand the wonder of femininity and their potential to thrive and make a difference. On one end of the spectrum, they have been socialized to believe that somehow, somewhere, they are inferior to men, that there are things they are not able to and that they are things they should not do. On the other extreme, women are being told by radical feminists that they are equal and same with men and that they should behave like men in order to succeed in life.

Who am I?  What does it really mean to be a woman? What is my purpose?  How do I heal from the haunting past experiences? How can I succeed?

Women Issues

  • Women often pick up wrong narratives about their place and role in society and wrong labels that often interfere with their sense of identity and purpose This identity crisis result in untapped feminine potential. There is a need for skills for self-discovery and self-awareness.

  • Women are often confused about their purpose in life beyond being wives, mothers and caretakers, noble as these chores may be. Many are not in touch with their reason for existence and what makes them tick. They need to be able to define themselves (self-branding) and live meaningful lives.

  • Women get deeply wounded along life’s journey and as these wounds simmer, the bearer of these wounds end up with broken and fragmented lives. There is therefore a need for women to be assisted to go through inner healing for them to life healthy lives.

  • Women are highly social and loyal in interactions they tend to become victims of toxic relationships. There is need to equip them with skills for building meaningful and lasting relationships.
  • Women rarely think about wealth creation while growing up. They usually dream of weddings and marriages and yet they have amazing potential to create wealth. They need to understand principles of effective creation and management of wealth and to appreciate the concept of becoming sustainably financially security.

  • The current education system doesn’t address soft skills adequately. Women become disproportionately disadvantaged by these gaps. Total education includes the understanding of life skills, necessary for a productive and influential life.

  • Today’s young women have unique additional challenges. They face a lot of pressure related to globalization. Through the media, worldly pace-setters have established ever-shifting standards for success. Standards related to materialism, beauty, popularity, power, rights and entitlements, relationships etc. Radical feminism today doesn’t have a clear agenda and definition of an empowered woman. These standards cause a lot of pressure that undermine a sense contentment and authentic success. There is need to help these young people to understand absolute truth and timeless standards of values and morals that lead to ultimate wholeness and success.
